the long version
Sara vowed she would not be hurt again Sara had been horrified when she learned that her new boss was to be Mark Fenwick. Now she listened to him anxiously. "I thought every trace of the old Sara was gone," he said enigmatically, "until I saw the nervous flutter of your lashes. I recognize this more easily than the depressingly hostile facade you've presented since I came." Sara had made a fool of herself over Mark Fenwick three years before; she'd been hurt enough to last a lifetime. Mark must never know she still loved him!
