The Guildford Diocese's annual enquiry in 2004 found that 49 per cent of children who came along to a church activity were attending mid-week. Many churches, particularly those with small congregatio- ns and even smaller numbers of children attending on a Sunday morning, struggle with the traditional model of Sunday school. This book sets out to show that, with a bit of lateral and creative thinking, even in a small church children's work can become vibrant and successful. The book is packed with ideas and activities for an alternative model to traditional Sunday school and to help integrate children's work with the main life of the church community.
