the long version
Angela Gordon was glamorous and ambitious, and determined not to live for ever in London in near-poverty. When she and her sister inherited an unexpected legacy, she persuaded Sara to spend it on a luxury trip to the Bahamas, where she felt sure that she at least would find a rich husband. But she had led him to believe she was a rich Society girl, and sooner or later she would have to confess the truth. Would it mean the end of everything between them?
