From Cairo to Iowa

This magazine has three themes: (1) the nagging question of the evolution of the Greyhound, from the folks on the farms and from the trainers at the tracks, the folks who day in and day out work with these dogs, and the adoption folks who know these dogs as the retired athletes and devoted friends that they are; (2) the impact Greyhounds have made on the Iowa economy through the state’s two race tracks and Iowa’s Department of Agriculture; and (3) is it true that every Iowa Greyhound farm has a non-Greyhound administrator?
