Welcome to “Grab & Go!”™, the premier planning series for Recreation teams. The “Grab & Go!”™ series has been designed to save recreation staff from having to spend precious hours designing and putting together programs from scratch. Even when our programs are designed to accommodate large group format they are also easily adaptable to small groups and, in many cases, even as one-to-one interactions. This book is designed to decrease the amount of time it takes to put on a great special event. It is suggested that you look through the book in order to be able to accurately plan ahead for your event.This will ensure that you have sufficient time to collect themed props, complete ‘pre-program’ requirements, and book entertainment. Each program is provided as a framework to which to add your own dash of flair and creativity. Each special event is accompanied by a page of spin-off programming ideas so you can keep your theme rolling for the month. There is space for you to write in your own adaptations of each event for easy reference of what you’ve done and what worked well. Also included are two bonus sections: Book of the Month Club and Koffee Klutch. All the information you need to successfully run a book club is literally at your fingertips. And you can stop wondering how to get your participants talking - whether it’s a verbal reminiscing group or an informal chat in a coffee program. All you have to do is use the provided Koffee Klutch prompts - and enjoy a stress free program! These programs were designed with the senior in mind.
