Bored with civilian life following the end of the Civil War, former Union soldiers, brothers Jeff and Clem Jackson and cousin Dan, move to an uncle's ranch in the Yellowstone Valley, Montana. But much of the valley is controlled by ruthless Scottish rancher, Alexander Brown, who employs a gang of gunmen to enforce his determination to be the biggest business in the territory. With the nearby sheriff also in Brown's pay, and cheated out of a piece of land by a corrupt land agent, the Jacksons fight back. But who will win the inevitable showdown.
