Since the vast majority of those with an attention deficit disorder also have most of the characteristics associated with a learning disability -- and since almost all LD individuals have difficulty with concentration -- the suggestions in this book will usually apply to adults and children in both categories. The object of this book is to help parents raise their LD and/or ADD children so that they can grow up to be okay -- so that they will be happy, well-adjusted, and successful adults despite the learning and behavior patterns that make them different.
