This work presents the more important of the venomous and poisonous marine invertebrates of the Indian Ocean. It covers the systematics and taxonomy of these animals, their importance to Mankind, the nature of their venoms or poisons, and the clinical significance of the injuries they can provoke. The seven chapters of the text include a general Introduction, followed by detailed studies of Protista, Porifera, Cnidaria, Minor Phyla, Echinodermata and Mollusca.
