Elisa Sighicelli

A retrospective monograph on the career of one of the most rigorous protagonists of the Italian art scene, active since the 1990s, who always challenges the limits of representation through photography, in a constant search for balance and new frontiers along the edge that separates and joins conceptual tension and the sensitive production of beauty. Over the past years some of the most prestigious museums and galleries across the world have presented the work of Elisa Sighicelli, and for many years she was represented by the important Gagosian Gallery. This resource presents a selection of works, exhibitions and experiments created by the artist in the second decade of her career, between 2011 and 2020, and is accompanied by essays by major authors and some of the most influential international curators of contemporary art.
