The covers are loose from the top staple, and so are stored in a plastic sleeve. The front cover has an orange, blurry square in the center, with an illustration of a ranch-style house. Diagonally along the top of the front cover, are the words "Harmonious Homes" in the light orange color. At the bottom are the words, "Over 100 Illustrations of homes, duplexes, courts and garage apartments. All drawings available in either brick, concrete block, adobe, or frame. By Hiawatha T. Born in 1918 in Tishomingo, Oklahoma, Estes was a member of the Chickasaw Indian Nation. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1940 with a degree in civil engineering, and served as an Air Force captain during World War II. </span><br /> <span style="font-family:georgia, 'times new roman', serif;font-size:large;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family:georgia, 'times new roman', serif;font-size:large;">Like so many other GIs, Estes moved to Southern California and got married. He and his wife started a business selling and promoting architectural house plans, which they operated for more than 30 years.
