the long version
In this volume, emphasis is placed on contributions to the study of argumentation by scholars from communication, speech communication, rhetoric, and discourse analysis. So far, their work has been insufficiently represented in anthologies, overviews and readers. For scholars, the books provides a rich source of information and references. -- Pref. (p. [xi]-xii).
