Show Business is a collection of stories about the real business of entertainment. Reality is a jungle full of phoney agents, spoilt artistes and corrupt businessmen. Kevin Coyne, a rock musician, painter, writer and actor, portrays an array of hustlers, naifs and people who take themselves far too seriously. Coyne's short stories are a window on a strange way of life. 'Show biz' is tough, and the cynicism and weariness that emerge are hardly surprising.
