This story is a frontier novel taking place in the late 1800's, a few years following the Civil War. Jesse is a woman of her time and a pioneer in the struggle for equalization of the genders. Content to be a wife and mother her world is suddenly torn upside down and inside out by a small gang of ruthless thieves and murderers. Can a woman find the inner strength to set right a wrong that would drive her to do nearly unthinkable things?
