Harry Dante comes home to Kansas City, but he is a man lost in time. When he left, it was the 1940s, and he knew everything about everybody. Now it is the 1960s, and he is a walking anachronism. He now has to deal with a new kind of gangster, disappearing kids called hippies, and the one thing he could not have expected: the dark shapes that are taking the youngsters may be vampires.
