This book examines the knowledge base of the intelligent organization and the actions of its members as they carry out their responsibilities for planning, design, and control. It provides researchers, students, and practitioners in information technology with a better understanding of organization behavior and guidelines for improved organizational information and decision support systems. The text begins with all introductory chapter that examines the concept of organizational intelligence and summarizes the literature in this area. It is a collection of 22 papers, originally published in the Proceedings of the Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences, grouped into four subject-matter areas.
