Winter is coming. A lone Imperial flies north from Dragon Isle in search of the missing Commander of the Stealth Dragon Services bearing his Dragon Master, Tangnost Bearhugger, his daughter Quenelda, and their two esquires, Root and Quester, along with one lazy and overwieght sabretooth fledgling. Their adventure will carry them beyond the Old Wall to the forbidding realm of the Ice Bear clan. But not all the clans remain loyal to the Crown and the SDS, and danger pursues them every step of the way. Will Two Gulps ever fly, and can Quenelda control her growing power?
