War veteran and team captain of the 1948 Grey Cup-winning Calgary Stampeders, Rowe was inducted into 5 sports halls of fame, and the Stampeders' own Wall of Fame. His subsequent life after sports was a struggle and he found life difficult, as many other fine athetes have done. Written by Rowe's son, this is his story.
