At an exhibition of her late husband{u2019}s paintings, Rosa Thorn is delighted to meet old friends - but she{u2019}s appalled by the wild behavior of some of the artists. Is the art world a place where normal rules of conduct don{u2019}t apply? When she realizes she{u2019}s being followed, her misgivings multiply. There{u2019}s someone out there determined to invade her life, uncover her secrets, and rake up her past. And that person is fully aware of her deepest needs and vulnerabilities. Then one of the artists is found dead. The police conclude it{u2019}s suicide, but Rosa discovers inconsistencies in the evidence.
