The book is a guide to eleven specific EuroAmerican or native american sites in the Owens Valley, California. The author shares his spiritual journey and why his retreats to this area have helped him connect with God during the health crises of his son and his work as a priest in a Latino barrio. The book is inclusive of all spiritualities and provides detailed directions, maps and historical background to help the reader's experience of contemplative walks in these little known places.
