Standing Without Apology is the history of Bob Jones University, pointing out the school's roots in American fundamentalism and documenting its growth to leadership within that movement. The book details how the school has dealt with major movements and challenges with religious movements such as liberalism and the New Evangelicalism, with cultural questions such as the relationship of Christianity to the arts, and with political matters such as freedom of religion and the Civil Rights movement.
