This is a sequel to Where Lies the Honour by the same author. In the the Federal Republic of Geriana, Gov. Ralph Maywa of Bagua State wants to blaze a trial; he's hell-bent on changing the fortunes of the state after the lack-lustre rule of his predecessor but his partymen do nbot share his lofty dream. For selfish gains, they constitute themselves into a clog in the wheel of his mission. Consequently, a battle line is drawn between the forces of progress and the reactionaries. Who wins? The answer lies in a reflective reading of the novel.
