Beautiful birds of New Zealand is a celebration of beauty and diversity. It contains a very personal selection, by Alison Ballance and Rod Morris, of a hundred birds from the more than three hundred species that occur in the New Zealand region. It includes the unusual as well as the familiar, with birds from the suburbs featuring alongside species found only on remote islands, and rare natives as well as naturalised game birds.
