Purabi Bormudoi

Purabi Bormudoi (1950-) is an Assamese novelist and short story writer. She was awarded prestigious Sahitya Akademi in 2007 for her Assamese novel **Shantanukulanandan** based on the Brahmaputra civilization of the 7th and 8th century.
