Ernest Bradlee Watson

Ernest Bradlee Watson was born in Boston, Massachusetts. He graduated from Dartmouth College, Hanover, New Hampshire, in 1902 and with a PhD from Harvard, Cambridge, Massachusetts, in 1913. After a brief stint at instructor and assistant professor of English at Dartmouth College, Watson joined the faculty of Roberts College in Istanbul, being its Dean from 1916-23.
