E. H. Chapin

**Edwin Hubbell Chapin** was born in Union Village, Washington County, New York. He attended a seminary at Birmington, Vermont. In 1838 he was ordained as pastor. In 1940 he moved to Charlestown, Massachusetts to be pastor of the School Street Society in Boston. In 1848 he moved to New York City to be pastor of the Fourth Universalist Society.
