Kwame Ture

Kwame Ture was a Trinidad-born, u.s.-raised Pan-Africanist & revolutionary socialist. He first gained prominence under his birth name, Stokely Carmichael, as a civil rights activist with SNCC in the 1960s; his politics became revolutionary & internationalist with the emergence of the Black Power movement.
