Martha Nicholson McKay (Warren County, Ohio, 22 Jun 1843 - Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana, 4 Mar 1934) was a founding member of Indianapolis Woman's Club in 1875. McKay was from a Quaker family in Ohio and had been educated at Ohio Female College. Her husband, M. Horace McKay, served as the captain of the 15th U.S. Colored Troops during the Civil War. She was progressive in her thinking and involved in the Indianapolis Woman's Club and women's suffrage in Indiana. …
