the long version
"Camilo Calderón writes the introduction to this catalog of drawings by Luis Caballero exhibited at the Biblioteca Luis Angel Arango in Bogotá during June-Aug. 1995. Many of the works were discovered at the artist's studio after his death and had not been seen before. Selection contains a large group of intimate and personal sketches and undated drawings that more correctly belong in the category of 'studies,' but nevertheless corroborate Caballero's innate capacity to draw by conveying his sensitive and emotionally charged identification with the medium. Illustrated in b/w and color"--Handbook of Latin American Studies, v. 58.
