A baseball pitcher can single-handedly sway a battle. He can shut out the other side, perhaps without a hit, possibly even without a base-runner. And it is possible but not probable that he could hit a homer to win the game, too. The pitchers profiled here have not won many games with homers, but they have pitched shutouts, no-hitters, even perfect games, and won hundreds of games.
