Andre Norton was many things: A superlative writer, a sharp clear imagination that outdid most of her peers and a story teller with few people able to come close to matching her ability. This book follows Blake Walker from being a college student right through to other planes of the many, countless really, of the copies of our Earth in its many guises of what could be imagined.
