the long version
Evil stalked this world, taking control of men's minds through the use of red stones with dark centers and these were called, for good reason, death stones. Once there had been a Lady goddess of power called Lyr who had fought for good and light, but she had been defeated and evil's dark one was supreme having full control of the High King and the evil religion of the one. As for Lyr, her statue of crystal was damaged by all of the fingers of both hands being broken off and the beautiful place she once dwelt in was turned into a desert wasteland. There was a way to restore Lyr and her land, by finding the missing fingers and returning them to their rightful place, but this would not be an easy task. Magic, blood, adventure, unexpected kindness and twists make this an excellent read.
