Tabooed Jung

Divided into two parts, Tabooed Jung focuses on Jung's marginalization itself as well as on the effects of that marginalization on notions of power and feminism. Arguing that Jung's situation foreshadowed the contemporary disenchantment with Freud and things Freudian, Gallant reveals less difference between Jung and today's critics than the critics themselves might think. She concludes with an argument for Jung's inclusion in the ongoing dialogues of psychological and feminist criticisms, as one whose work proceeds along congruent lines.
