Elizabeth Darcy is determined not to be found wanting when she and her new husband throw their first house party at Pemberley. Of course, Miss Bingley will be there, but Lizzy has nothing to fear from her old nemesis - or so she thinks. Miss Bingley has convinced herself that Mr. Darcy made a mistake in his hasty marriage to Lizzy, and is determined to save him from his own folly. When Lydia Wickham puts in an unexpected appearance, and Miss Bingley learns that Wickham himself is also in the neighbourhood, an unlikely alliance is formed between two people with very different reasons for wanting the Darcy marriage to fail.
