Murder on Safari

Lucy, Lady Baradale, was a hated woman. She used her millions to control and bully her husband and stepdaughter, she was flagrantly unfaithful with her handsome chauffeur, and she carried a fortune in jewelry around on safari with her in a portable safe. When a choice selection of baubles goes missing, she dispatches guide/white hunter Billy de Mare to bring back Superintendent Vachell of the Chania CID. Ineptly disguised as de Mare's new assistant, Vachell barely has time to interview Lady Barradale before a ruthless and skillful murderer renders the robbery case more than a little moot.
