Roxy Paine

Published in collaboration with Kavi Gupta and Paul Kasmin galleries, this volume offers the first in-depth look at American artist Roxy Paine?s Dioramas. Initially conceived in the 1990s, it was not until 2012 that Paine began to make the first of his technically ambitious Dioramas, which represent an important reinvention of the diorama, the nineteenth-century form of modern spectacle, for the twenty-first century.? Paine?s series of Dioramas are contemporary discussions in human industries and nature as they inform and reform the collective space.
