There are two clubs on the street where Ashley-Rose lives. There's the one she belongs to (the Junior Babysitters club) and there's the one her teenage cousin Katie belongs to (The Nickel Street Babysitters). It is also called the NSB and they are the "real" babysitters in the neighborhood. Someday Ashley-Rose will be an official member of the NSB and make her dream come true: to babysit on her own. But someday seems like a million years away. For starters, she's eight years old. Plus, she has a habit of rushing which always leads to major goof-ups while she's helping out at babysitting jobs.
