This is a novel about a journey of discovery through the heart of modern Europe. A young traveler is telling his experiences to an unidentified person, while both are seated on a bench near the big river. The main character of the book is the narrator of the story. It is a book about love, fear, and the terrors conjured up by our own active imagination.
