It was five years since Anna had, briefly, met Marcus Trent and made such a fool of herself; she had never forgotten the incident and it had affected her attitude to life and to men ever since. So she was horrified when Marcus turned up again, out of the blue, and made it clear that he still remembered her - and that unfortunate episode.
