Sobre o livro

*According to Jacques: A Mersey Bible* is the third published work of Brian Jacques. Since Jacques was from Liverpool, England, the book was written in the dialect of [Scouse][1], an English accent dialect found primarily in the Metropolitan county of [Merseyside][2], of which Liverpool is the chief city. The book is a collection of his poetry that parodies many stories of the Old Testament in the Scouse dialect or featuring a setting of Liverpool. The original recommended price was £0.60p, or roughly $0.98. The book is currently out of print. Titled poems include: * "On the Eighth Day'' * ''Adam 'an Eve'' * ''Caynanable'' * ''Skroll from a Skolar'' * ''Noah's Dream'' * ''Joseph'' * ''The Finding of Moses'' * ''Let My People Go'' * ''Lost in the Wilderness'' * ''The First Rebel'' * ''Samson and Delicious'' * ''The Big Game'' * ''David and Goliath'' * ''The Judgement of Solomon'' * ''The Song of Solomon'' * ''Jonah an' the Whale'' * ''The Siege of Liverpool'' In "On the Eighth Day," Jacques explores the idea of God creating the city of Liverpool on the eighth day of Creation, and later describes an attempted siege of Liverpool by the Romans.
