The theology of Jürgen Moltmann

the long version

"Jurgen Moltmann is one of the most important contemporary German Protestant theologians - whose influence has been felt not only in Europe and North America but also in the Third World." "Beginning with Theology of Hope in 1964, Moltmann's major contributions to theology have presented a Christian theological vision which is biblically based, Trinitarian in character, orientated to the future, and politically responsible. His work constantly brings the central features of Christian belief into relationship with the realities of the contemporary world." "This evaluation by Richard Bauckham is the first comprehensive study of Moltmann's full theological range. It begins with an introduction to the general character, methods, themes and achievements of Moltmann's work. Subsequent chapters focus on specific books or particular theological themes, giving detailed exposition and analysis of Moltmann's thought as well as critical evaluation and discussion."--BOOK JACKET.
