The way I saw it

James Spencer Dryden's remarkable life spanned the twentieth century. His childhood values and work ethic from his birthplace in rural Virginia guided his life of service during World War II, his professional career as an ophthalmologist in Washington, DC, his experiences as a hunter, golfer, gentleman farmer, and informed his later years as a political satirist. He was an astute observer of his fellow man and of the political and social transformation of America throughout the 1900's.
