The baby quilt

Jackie Reid left her old life behind to start fresh in Alaska, where she tells her friends she's a widow. But when her ex-husband, Sam Mulvaney, shows up, Jackie realizes her simple life is about to become very complicated. Sam left Jackie seventeen years earlier in a dispute over the baby they lost - the baby that Sam believed his wife aborted. Jackie was never able to convince Sam that she, too, wanted the child - and that its death was due to miscarriage. Soon, Jackie's sole pleasure becomes the quilt she is making for the baby she lost.
