Body politics

Marcelo Brodsky trained as a photographer at the International Center of Photography in Barcelona during his exile in the 1980s along with photographer Julio Pantoja. In Body Politics they examine the particularly close relationship between photography and politically oriented performance art in Latin America. Among the artists included in its illustrations are Julio Pantoja, Mario Cravo Neto, Gustavo di Mario, Lourdes Grobet, Muriel Hasbun, Cecilia Paredes, Osvaldo Salerno, Gerardo Suter and Helen Zout.
