A Cassandra voiced commentator, with prophecies based on sober, thoughtful evaluation of worldwide happenings, figures, policies, diplomatic manoeuvres, and a recognition of the impossibility of returning to the world of yesterday, Schuman challenges the blindness of those who will not face the world of tomorrow. The very culminative effect of the assembly of facts, informative from its collection of all sources of material, impressive for its analysis, is scarifying. An excellent background book.
