Ukrainian arts

Ukrainian Arts is a compilation of articles by Ukrainian and American scholars, each of whom brings intensive research, knowledge and experience to their particular subject. The first volume of its kind in English in the United States, it covers Architecture, Music, Literature, Fine Art, Embroidery, Folk Dress, Rug-making, Easter egg decoration, Ceramics and Woodcarving. Ukrainian Arts is not presented as a defintive work. Its authors, on the contrary, view it as a trailblazing attempt. They hope that it will inspire more intensive and comprehensive study in the United States of Ukraine’s cultural treasure-trove. (fly-leaf)
