They met at a coffee shop in Vancouver on a brilliant spring morning, he on a book tour and she the reporter sent to interview him. They talked and talked -- and their lives changed forever. After 800 e-mails, countless phone calls and three letters of rejection, she agreed to start seeing him -- but she was never going to leave her beloved West Coast, her family, friends, horses and dogs.
