The Chief Centurion

The Chief Centurion is an exciting historical novel about a roman soldier that does his basic training in Jerusalem, travels to Gaul and after rising to the rank of centurion, participates in the invasion of Britain in AD 43 as part of the Second Legion Augusta. In the twilight of his career he returns to Jerusalem as the Chief Centurion of the Fortress Antonia. There he encounters the Apostle Paul and rescues him from the mob and the Sanherain (Jewish religious leadership). He also meets a beautiful woman who, along with Paul, changes his outlook on life completely.
