In 1927, Charles Lindbergh was the first lone pilot to cross the Atlantic. Soon after he landed, however, the flight log was stolen from the cockpit of the Spirit of St Louis. It was never recovered. That much is fact...Hella Koll first meets Lindbergh in 1923, and falls in love with him. She is determined to acquire the flight log as the ultimate souvenir of her hero, so when it becomes available on the Black Market she makes her bid, only to find she is not the only person willing to go to great, even murderous, lengths to obtain it.
