When Tom Stearns found the little six-day-old hound pup, he was nearly dead from starvation. But the lonely cowboy saved his life. Before he could even see, Sandy was following Tom's scent around. But from the beginning the dog didn't like Tom's neighbor, Whitey. After Whitey left, rustling and ranch fires began to be blamed on Tom, and he and his dog had to hide out while they proved the truth.
