A basic primer on educational measurement for the prospective teacher, addressing tests, their preparation and use, statistical measurements, and evaluation. The prospective teacher is given a good deal of assistance with those aspects of educational measurement which are the most persistent: scoring tests, grading, and promotion. This text addresses the teacher trainee with recommendations on issues about which many other textbook authors equivocate. Discussions and condensed versions of the Taxonomy of Educational Objectives for both the cognitive and affective domains are included in appendixes, and should be of great utility to students.
